Scouts and Parents, Welcome to the new year! This year we have a lot of new and exciting stuff to do. We just finished a very cold week of merit badges and rank advancements at winter camp (22 degrees at night) and we would like to thank all of those adults who gave up their own time to drive or to stay with us there. Yesterday, the 31st, was the last day to complete the four Centennial badges (tracking, pathfinding, carpentry, and signaling). If you completed your carpentry project before midnight, December 31, you can bring it to the meeting on Monday, so you can get it signed off. On the 10th we will have a parents meeting at 6:30. This month's theme is camping, so we will be hiking 25 miles on the Florida Trail, on the 15th through the 17th. Throughout the month we will be preparing for this trip. Since there is no school on the 17th, we will not be having a meeting that day. On the 29th we will be having a roadside cleanup, with a hot breakfast like last time. For more information about upcoming events, please visit the calendar page on our website. If you have any questions, please email me at joshjudg@gmail.com. Thank You, Joshua Judge Troop Scribe |
